Creative Industries
Creative industries refers to a
range of different fields of the design spectrum such as, graphics,
architecture, fashion, photography, game, music and film and so on. mThe UK is
the largest design sector in Europe and second largest in the whole world. The
UK is recognised for the high quality of its designers and the UK exports 50%
more design then it imports. The U.K Design education system is ranked fourth
in the world, universities have developed cutting-edge multidisciplinary
programmes that link business and design as there approximately 850 design
courses available in the UK, Making the U.K have the most design students in
Europe. The United Kingdom is at the forefront of new developments and has
commercial effectiveness as estimated £33.5billion spent annually on design.

Exhibitions/Galleries
Design Museum
· Currently
showing at the Design Museum: Designs of the year 2015, 25th of
March – 23rd of August.
· Women
Fashion Power is also still exhibiting at the design museum until the 26th
of April.
· Future
exhibition to come to the Design Museum is Life of foot (13 May – 1 November)
embarks on the creative journey of how traditional shoemaking has adapted by
contemporary design and new technologies.
Victoria & Albert
·
Alexander McQueen has an exhibition ‘Savage
Beauty’ at the Victoria and Albert Museum, from the 14th of March
till 2nd of August 2015.

London Fashion week
London fashion week has been this
year, for autumn/winter wear 2015 starting from Thursday 19th of
February till the 25th . The British council announces Mary
Katrantzou as the winner of this year’s BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund.
London’s next fashion week will be taking place on the 24th – 27th
of September.
